Mrs. Virginia Louise Pollock., age 77, of Winston, GA passed away Monday, March 12, 2012. She was born April 6, 1934 in Shannon, GA . She was preceded in death by her father Robert Taylor; and her mother Irene Saine Atchley and her husband Alton; husband Earl Pollock; granddaughter Sydney Pollock; brother Robert Taylor; sisters, Shelby Lamb and Lillian Stinnet. Louise was involved in the PTA and served 12 terms as past president in Atlanta and Douglasville. She volunteered as a Pink Lady for 18 years at Wellstar Douglas Hospital, volunteered for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, and volunteered for the American Red Cross. Louise was an accomplished seamstress and was known for her hospitality and generosity. She was a former member and served as the church secretary of Northwest Church of Christ, and was a long time member of Douglasville Church of Christ and New Life Christian Church. Louise was employed for many years as a Roofing Distribution Manager at Young Refining Company.

She is survived by her children, Janet Pollock, Carolyn and Steve Clark, David and Tammy Pollock, Luke Pollock; grandchildren, Joshua and Shannon Ertzberger, Taylor Pollock, Mallory Pollock, Jordan Pollock, Brennan Pollock; great-grandchildren, Dylan Ertzberger, Ethan Belcher, Grayson Belcher; sister, Judy and Bob Vergamini; devoted friend Louise Herring; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 5-8 PM. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Rosehaven Chapel with Minister Mac Cregger officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
