Palori, Vivian Guagliardo, 97, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, November 18, 2017. Vivian was born in Tampa to Maria Reina and Salvatore Guagliardo. She was the daughter of the pioneering family of Florida Dairy Inc. and fondly recalled those early days, always being proud of her heritage. She attended Hillsborough High School and Florida State College for Women with a degree in Home Economics. February 14, 1952 she married Julius P. Palori D.D.S. Over the years, Vivian dedicated herself to family, friends, neighborhood and community. She was active in the Dental Auxiliary of Hillsborough County, Pan American University Women’s Club, Academy of the Holy Names Mothers’ Association and the Italian Club of Tampa. Her proudest achievement was raising her son, Vincent S. Palori, and enjoying the growth of the family with his wife, Karen, and her grandchildren. Vivian took every opportunity to be with friends and family: Sunday dinners, graduations, weddings, baptisms and more. She celebrated each milestone for every family and extended family member. Vivian was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Julius P. Palori D.D.S.; parents, Maria R. and Salvatore Guagliardo; brother, Joseph R. Guagliardo; sister-in-law, Marian G. Guagliardo. She lives on in the hearts of those who survive her: son, Vincent S. Palori (Karen); grandchildren, Michael V. Palori (Maggie), Melissa P. McLamore (Sterling); and great grandson, Bryant V. McLamore; also beloved nieces, nephews and cousins including the Ficarrotta family. The family deeply appreciates the meticulous care and respect given by Orfilia Calderon for 12 years. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 22, at 9:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with internment to follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church P.O. Box 1524, Tampa, FL 33601 or a charity of your choice.
