Wade Franklin Bailey, Jr., 77, of Higginson, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012. He was born February 9, 1935; the son of the late Wade Frank and Josie Bailey. He was of the Baptist faith, a United States Air Force Veteran, and a retired contractor for American Freightways.
He leaves behind his wife and soul mate, Debra K. Bailey; two sons, Michael Bailey and wife Mary of Pangburn, Darrell Bailey and wife Jamie of Mountain Home; three step children, Melissa Price and husband Johnny of Independence, Kentucky, Kimberly Forister of Judsonia, Debbie Roberts-Dilse of Ward; a sister, Evelyn Southard of Griffithville; a brother, Richard Bailey of Beebe; eight grandchildren, Amy Pylant, Kayla Kersh, Justin, Joshua and Nicole Bailey, Ryan, Rachel, and Rebekah Price; seven great-grandchildren, Brayden, Paige, and Ada Grace Pylant, Catie and Chambers Kersh, Jayde and Savanna Bailey; seven nieces, Barbara Lewis, Karen Bowen, Jamie Whaley, Debbie Havener, Jackie English, Freddie Whaley, and Candi Deen; four nephews, Rick, Dennis, Dewey, and Chris Bailey; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Neland Eugene Bailey; a sister, Geraldine James; a step son, Billy Dale Leo; a grandchild, Emily Bailey; two brothers-in-law, Loran James and Burl Southard; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Bailey.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 28 in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel.
