INVERNESS, FL – Wallace I. Miller Jr., age 70, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Citrus Memorial Hospital.

Wallace was born on December 2, 1950 in Sterling the son of Wallace and Alois (Minson) Miller Sr. He married Marilyn Thompson on August 1, 1970 in Artesia, Calif. Wallace was formerly employed with Hey Brothers Ice Cream in Dixon, Transitions Nursing Home in Rock Falls and the Regional Director of Northwest Illinois & Eastern Iowa Prisoners for Christ Missions. He was a board member of the Yeshua's Grace Ministries in Sterling. He was an avid coin collector and loved woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Miller of Leesburg, Fla.; his mother, Alois Miller of Sterling; son James (Carrie) Miller of Pekin, daughters Christie (Ted) Lenox of Crossville, Tenn. and Rachel (Jason) Kors of Leesburg, Fla.; sister Sue Hicks of Oregon; brothers William (Maureen) Miller of Rock Island and Tony Miller of Tonganoxie, Kan.; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wallace I. Miller Sr; brother, Michael Miller; great granddaughter, Brayleigh Muhleback.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church in Como. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at church. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
