Graveside services for Mr. Wallace M. Aust will be held Friday, March 4th at 10 am at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Scooba. Rev. Walter Tessier and Rev. James Granger will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home of DeKalb is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Aust, 84, of Scooba, passed away Wednesday, March 2nd at Regency Hospital in Meridian.
He was a retired paper miller for James River Paper Mill and a farmer. He was also a veteran, achieving the rank of Sergeant in the Mississippi National Guard during the Korean War. He enjoyed pursuing his hobbies of hunting and gardening, loved his family especially the love of his life, Martha Jo with whom he was married for 62 years. Friends knew him as a very special caring person.
Mr. Aust is survived by his wife Martha Jo; son Wallace Michael Aust and wife Cathy; God children Rob and Teresa Reynolds; God Grandchildren April White, Amanda Watson, Katie Copeland; God Great grandchildren Dani White, Amelia, Dennis and Darcy Watson.
He is also survived by his brothers Gene Aust, Larry Aust and wife Frances; sisters Martha Grace Fliminster, Mary McConville; sister in law Phyllis Aust; his best friend Jimmy Roberts and his dog Charlie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Iola Aust; brother Hunt Aust; sisters Margaret Kemp and Marie Aust.
Pallbearers serving will be Chad Watson, Corey White, Dean Puckett, Ryan Hand, Tyler Watt and Rob Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Copeland and Jimmy Roberts.
