Walter Scott Couch, 81, of Levelland, passed away on October 23, 2017. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 1 pm to 2 pm at First Christian Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2 pm at First Christian Church with Rev John H. Sanders officiating. Interment will be at the City of Levelland Cemetery immediately following the services under the professional care of George Price Funeral Home. Scott was born on January 31, 1936, in Borger, TX, to the late Walter Scott and Georgia Cornelia Couch. He started first grade in Dumas then moved to Levelland for second grade and later graduated from Levelland High School. He was a proud member of the US Army. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1957; he then obtained his MS Degree from the University of Central Arkansas. He was the Band Director for LHS then taught Biology at Levelland High School and later taught at SPC from 1967 to 1993. He married the love of his life, Elsie (Fore) Couch on March 6, 1965. His parents, Walter and Cornelia, precede him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Elsie; sons Andrew and family of Sutherlin, OR; Charles and family of Lakewood, CO. Among many passions, one of his biggest was his love of music and playing trumpet and cornet.
