Wanda Bertise Carroll Stacks, age 89, of Center Ridge, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, February 2, 2017. She was born April 20, 1927 in Morrilton, Arkansas, a daughter of James Elmer Carroll and Bertha Adams Carroll. She was the widow of Bill Stacks. Wanda loved the outdoors, fishing, her rose garden, and was a member of Pleasant Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley McCoy; Patsy (Roddy) Dixon; and Carol (James) Mallett all of Center Ridge, and Marilyn (Richard) Nicholson of Hattieville; twelve grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of over fifty years, Bill Stacks; sister, Cordelia Carroll Moore; brothers, J.E. Carroll, and Ralph Carroll.
Funeral services will be, 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, at Harris Chapel with Bro. Doyle Glass and family friend, Lynn Mallett officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5, at the funeral home.
