Warren L. Barsaleau, Sr., 79, of Willington, CT, husband of the late Patricia (Partyka) Barsaleau, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Henry and Grace (Pinder) Barsaleau. Warren served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict, and retired from the Connecticut State Police after 31 years, working first as a mechanic and then in radio communications. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, where he was a vestryman and church historian, and the Willington Fire Dept. No. 1 where he was a former Assistant Chief. Warren was also a former constable and dog warden for the Town of Willington, as well as chairman for the Willington Recreation Committee. He enjoyed camping and going to the ocean with his family. Warren is survived by his four sons, Warren L. Barsaleau, Jr. and his wife Paige of Georgia, Gregory Barsaleau and his wife Jennifer of Holland, MA, Michael Barsaleau and his wife Nicola of Florida, and Clifford Barsaleau and his wife Tina of Willington, CT; twelve grandchildren, Matthew, Jeffrey, Drew, Adam, Srivas, Ramai, Amber, Jack, Tricia, Tiffany, Hank, and Jessica; four great grandchildren, Alexa, Faith, Haylin and McKayla; his faithful protector, Dixie Baby Blue; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four siblings, Dr. Richard Barsaleau, Jack Barsaleau, Lois Schlosser, and Elizabeth McAuley. His funeral will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Church Service at 10 A.M. at Grace Episcopal Church, 7 Spring St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately. Calling hours are on Sunday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 65, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
