Wayne Curtis Kepley, 60, of Denver, PA, passed suddenly at home on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

Born August 15, 1957 in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Clarence A. and Ida A. (Kocher) Kepley.

Wayne was the beloved husband of Darlene "Dar" Fay (Palmer) Kepley for 34 1/2 wonderful years. He and his wife lived in Shillington, Birdsboro and Ephrata, PA moving to Fuquay-Varina, NC for seven years and most recently lived in Denver, PA.

He was a 1975 graduate of Reading High School, Reading, PA and in 1984 of Reading Area Community College, Reading, PA with a Business Management Associate Degree. He graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College, Rocky Mount, NC in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with Transfer Honors.

Wayne served in the US Air Force from October 1975 to October 1979. He received the Air Force Longevity Service Award in 1979 and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal and Combat Readiness Medal also in 1979. He was honorably discharged in October 1979.

He worked as a Wire/Cable and Fiber Optic Product Engineer at Berk- Tek Alcatel plants in both Reading, PA and in Fuquay-Varina, NC. He also worked for FedEx Supply Chain Services as a Logistics Supervisor at John Deere Turf Care, Fuquay-Varina, NC. Most recently he worked for 20 years for the United States Department of Defense, Department of Navy as a Civilian.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene "Dar" Fay (Palmer) Kepley; two sisters: Geraldine L. (Kepley) Monyer and her husband, Raymond of Oley and Rita M. (Kepley) Kelley of Denver, PA and two brothers: Charles R. Kepley of Kutztown and Alan R. Kepley of Melbourne, FL.

Surviving is a daughter and son in law, Bobbie Jo Faylyn and Michael J. Roderick of Skowhegan, ME and granddaughters: Joslynn Fay Roderick, Abigail Valz and Hannah Valz; mother-in-law: Hilda M. (Leibold) Palmer of Laureldale; two sisters-in-law: Shirley A. (Palmer) Lutz and her husband, Fred of Jackson, WY and Donna M. (Palmer) Garber and her husband, Ronald of Blandon and numerous loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Also surviving is his beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Princess Ruby Fay.

Wayne was predeceased by three sisters: Barbara A. (Kepley) Ninzeheltzer, Sandra J. (Kepley) Karl and Brenda R. (Kepley) Hill and two brothers: Ronald P. and Bruce M. Kepley.

Services for Wayne will be at 3pm on Friday, October 6, 2017 in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. A public viewing will be from 1 to 3pm in the funeral home on Friday.
