Wayne Richard Pearce, peacefully in his sleep following an extended disabling illness, departed his earthly life onward to his next journey to meet his Lord.

Wayne was a gentle, quiet and soft-spoken man of deep convictions and personal, political, and religious values that set high standards and was an example to others. He believed that an activity was either right or wrong and would calmly articulate his perspective. Wayne was quick to smile, affectionate, kind-hearted, and honest to a fault. He radiated love and compassion for any and all and knew no strangers. Wayne was an avid reader who loved history in particular. He possessed a vast knowledge that was gained by reading, self-reflection and self-education.

Following a 40 year career in telecommunications he pursued a second career in real estate. Over his long and productive life Wayne counted his family and friends as a blessing and was most generous in his support, gifts and loyalty.

He was a faithful and devoted husband, who deeply and unconditionally loved his wife, Maria Perez.

Wayne is survived by his son and only child, Aaron Pearce and his wife Peggy. Aaron, who made him proud, served in both the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps – defending the America in which Wayne believed and supported so profoundly. Wayne is also survived by his brother David Pearce, sisters Kathy McDowell and Vivian and her husband Don Lovak, Sr, and two grandchildren, Seth and Ivy Pearce.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Wesley Pearce and Esther Olive Wise Pearce.

The Pearce family wishes to acknowledge appreciation for the skilled nursing care and loving home environment provided by Andrea and Eugene Holly for their Uncle Wayne. Wayne stated frequently that he recognized how much he was loved.
