Wayne was born on June 21, 1919 and passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Wayne was a resident of Charleston, Illinois at the time of passing.

He attended Rardin High School, where he also played basketball, before moving to Indiana where he graduated from Saluda High School.

Wayne worked for an oil drilling company and Montgomery Ward before being inducted into the U.S. Navy where he served his tour of duty in the Philippines, Hawaii, Australia, Okinawa and Panama Canal.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Charleston. Funeral Services, honoring and celebrating his life, will begin at 1:30 p.m. on November 16 at the funeral chapel with David Ferguson officiating. Burial, with Military Rites, will follow at Mound Cemetery in Charleston.
