Willard E. Davidson went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 19th.

He was born on October 16th, 1929 in Wheaton, Missouri to Ewing and Nota (Davis) Davidson. Willard married his wife and best friend, Wanda Gibson, on September 11, 1954 in Springfield, Missouri. They immediately moved to Kansas City to begin their 63 years of life together.

Willard was proud to have served his country with the Army’s First Calvary during the Korean war, in which he received two bronze stars. He worked as Vice-President of Commodities for the Missouri Farmers Association and was a member of the Kansas City Board of Trade for 27 years. Willard later received his real estate license and worked part-time in various offices until his retirement. His greatest commitment outside of his family was to Jesus Christ. He was ordained as a Baptist deacon in 1956 and served in a variety of church leadership positions throughout his life. Willard always looked for ways to serve others, including the homeless and hopeless, and leaves this as a legacy to his friends and family.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents Ewing and Nota (Davis), his brothers Marshall Ray, Russell, Walter, and David, and by his sister Elizabeth Turner. He is survived by his sister Ruth Price, and his wife of 63 years, Wanda. Willard also leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law Marshall and Wendy Davidson, his daughter and son-in-law Karen and Dennis Jones, his son Mark Davidson, his grandchildren Nicholas, Peter, Whitney, Matthew, Max, Jake, and Luke, and his great-grandchildren Gracelynne and Milo.
