William "Bill" Murphy, 65, of Okolona returned to his Heavenly Father Friday, September 27, 2013.
Mr. Murphy was born April 19, 1948 in Fairdale, KY to the late Owen and Naomi Cape Murphy. He formerly worked for L & N Railroad, was an alarm security tech for Alarm-1 Protective Service and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his parents; brother, Leon Murphy and sister, Joann Baxter.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Inez Murphy; children, Laura Murphy, Angela Fulton, Brian Murphy (Kim) and James Fulton; 11 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Ramsey; brothers, Ronald and Ricky Murphy; sisters, Wanda Murphy, Geraldine Hill, Joyce Cook and Betty Freeman and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service at Schoppenhorst.
