William B. "Bill" Racobs, 70, of Castana, Iowa passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Memorial graveside services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Sloan City Cemetery in Sloan, Iowa led by Michael Racobs. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Army. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

William Burton was born June 11, 1946 in Onawa, Iowa, the son of Forrest and Irene (Mercer) Racobs. He attended Whiting High School in Whiting, Iowa. After attending school, he entered the United States Army. He attended Iowa Technical Institute where he received a degree in diesel mechanic.

Bill moved to Castana in 1979. He was a truck driver for over 50 years.

Survivors include his three children, Michael (Patti) Racobs of Greenfield, IN, Mark (Sherri) Racobs of Mondamin, IA, and Kelly Racobs of Denver, CO; six grandchildren, Justin, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Kayla, Miranda, and Angela; five great-grandchildren, J.J., Marcus, Austin, Olivea, and Hazel; and one sister, Judi Hutchison of Norwood, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Racobs; and niece, Seri Hutchison.
