William C. Hickey, JR, beloved husband of Sharon Rockwell Hickey of Branford, died Wednesday September 25, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was 60 years old. Mr. Hickey was born in Springfield, MA, August 3, 1953, son of the late William C. Hickey, SR and Viola Welch Hickey. He worked for many years as a service technician for Decision One. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Jessica (Patrick) Schwanfelder of Clinton; his brother Wayne Welch of Wallingford, and his sister, Kathleen Book of Farmington, NH; his mother-in-law Mary Rockwell of East Haven, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, Wednesday morning at 10:45 for a graveside service at St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford at 11:00. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 9 – 10:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT 06856.
