William Charles ''Chuck'' Hanlon, 56, Deersville, died Thursday, June 22, 2006 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Chuck was born April 18, 1950 a son of John and Phyllis Price Hanlon of Deersville, Ohio. Chuck was a truck driver, a graduate of Lakeland High School, active participant in Deersville Memorial Day Services, a lifelong resident of Deersville, a member of Deersville United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the VietNam Era. He is survived by his 2 daughters: Cori Hanlon of Deersville and Miranda Hanlon of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; his former wife, Janet Shuss Hanlon of Deersville; 3 grandchildren: Sheena and Brandon of Deersville and Justice of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 2 sisters: Pam Wallace and her husband Kevin of Deersville and Debbie Hedtke and her husband Frank of Sacremento, California; companion, Patty Myer of the home; Richard Price of Florida and Carolyn Price Cope Bethel of Florida, and serveral nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Calling hours are Sunday, June 25, 5-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Rothrock officiating. Burial will follow at Patterson Cemetery, Deersville, Ohio with military graveside honors. Memorial contributions may be made in Chuck's name to Tuscarawas County Hospice, 201 West Third St., Dover, Ohio 44622. The memorial guestbook may be signed at www.clark-kirkland.com
