William Franklin Authenrieth 77, of Amarillo passed away January 19, 2018. Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.

William was born in Rural Retreat, Virginia to Willie and Luella Authenrieth. He attended school in Rural Retreat.He loved basketball and football, he was the captain of both during his high school career before graduating in 1959. William graduated from Business school in Roanoke, Virginia. He was a manager at F.W. Woolworth for 23 years, and at Wal-Mart for 15 years, and was also employed at Amarillo Gear. He married Edith Mills in 1963 and Barbara Stallings in 1983. William and Barbara cared for his first two grandchildren. Mr. "A" will be remembered by his employees and family as a genuine, dedicated, caring husband, father and hard worker.

He was preceded in death by his father a WWII Veteran, his mother and a son William Authenrieth Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, two furbabies Mickey and Lola; daughter's Debbie Wilson and husband and Cassaundra Mann. Grandchildren Amber Ball and husband Trey; Ashley Authenrieth; Andrea Mann and Daniel Mann. Great grandchildren Ayden Ingels, Spencer Mobley and Sebastian. Along with many loving family members and friends.
