William Lance, 81, of Bellevue, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. He was born on July 17, 1934 in Creve Coeur, Illinois to John and Vivian (Cannon) Lance. He married Milla Wilmoth on October 17, 1958 in Peoria, Illinois. She preceded him in death on June 3, 1995 in Peoria, Illinois. He is also preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
He is survived by three sons, Billy (Tracey) Lance of Bellevue, Jerry (Rochal) Lance of Hanna City and Mitchell Scott Lance of Bellevue. He has three grandchildren, Tyler, Weston and Aaron and one great grandchild.
He worked as a boiler operator at American Distillery working until 1982 and later was self- employed. He was a Navy veteran.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. The Rev. Craig Hislope will officiate.
