William P. Sweetser, 58, of Needham, formerly of Newtonville, died unexpectedly yet peacefully in his sleep on March 21 2012. An only child, Bill was predeceased by his parents, Preston W. and Dorothy Bee Sweetser. He had recently retired from Proctor and Gamble/ Gillette/ Duracell where he worked for over 25 years. Bill was an active cyclist, automobile enthusiast, and loved visiting the seashores of Maine and Cape Cod. Bill is survived by three maternal cousins, Nancy Markham of Seymour, Texas, Robert B. Bicknell of East Orleans, MA. and H. Scott Bicknell of Auburn Hills, MI and their extended families. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, April 14, at the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St., Newton Center, MA.
