William "Roy" Mansell, Jr., a resident of Morris, Alabama, was born in Tarrant, Alabama on May 14, 1942, and he left this world on January 5, 2018 to walk the streets of gold with his Lord and Savior. Roy retired from the City of Tarrant, and he was a member of Kimberly Church of God.

Roy is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Mansell; his parents, William R. Mansell, Sr., and Tessie Lee Mansell, and his brother, Rex Mansell.

Roy is survived by his sons, Carl Mansell (Tammy), and Ronald Mansell (Connie); his daughter, Ronda Jones (Jay); nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Rachel Sharp, and a host of friends and family.

Roy was a kind man with a blessed soul, who never meet a stranger and he loved to sing gospel hymns. He was an avid railroad buff and loved to collect anything related to railroads and trains. He loved his family and was always willing to tell you a story. When he answered his phone he would always say "Hello, hello, can you hear me." Well daddy your Savior hears you loud and clear now! Rest in Peace and fly high with the angels.
