SMITH, William T. (Bill) - Age 89 -

Bill passed away peacefully on November 1, 2015 at East Adams Care Center in Ritzville, WA. He was born April 7, 1926 to Mark and Anna Havlicek and grew up in Odessa, graduating in 1944. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Enza Smith. Other survivors include daughter Sharon(Dave) Iverson, Taunya (Michael) VanPevenage - Conner, Peyton and Chase; Becky (Colin) Guhlke - Lexi and Palmer; Alyson (Travis) Williams - Lizzie and Jessie; Brenik(Kamie) Iverson - Holden, Leah and Aubrey; son Gary(Terria) Smith, Lauri(Aaron) Riley - Cole and Piper; Angie(Greg) Allington - Paige, Karlee, Evelyn, and Layla; Christine(Kevin) - Andrew and Tyler; Leslie(Brooks) Lzicar - Michael and Liam; son Terry(Linda) Smith, Dusty (Carolyn) Smith - Mady, Tori and Cameron; Skeeter(Justin) Holder - McKenna and Clay, Ty Smith - Paige, Nick(Brynn) Smith - Luke; his brother Don (Mavis) Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. He attended the Catholic Church, member of the Good Sam's RV Club, and The Rocky Coulee Ramblers. Bill and his brothers farmed and ranched North of Odessa for many years as Smith Brothers. Bill especially enjoyed taking care of the cattle. After selling the farm, he and Enza along with Ben and Betty moved to Kamiah, Idaho to run an outfitting company packing people into the Selway Wilderness Area. Many hunting stories have come from the tents snuggled into the wilderness camp site. Bill and Enza then moved to 7 Bays to help Win Self develop the 7 Bays Marina and housing development. During this time Bill and Enza traveled the area playing Bluegrass music and "Jamming" with their many musical friends - Bill playing his mandolin and Enza playing her "dog house base". Bill was indeed a busy guy and was known for being able to fix anything with a piece of duct tape or bailing wire.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Odessa, WA with Father Kenny - St. Hillaire, officiating. Memorials may be made to East Adams Care Center, Ritzville, WA.
