William "Tommy" Timmons , 81, passed Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Georgia Timmons, and his brother, Gene Timmons.

He leaves his wife of 45 years, Ann Courtney Timmons; his sons, Gary Timmons and Wayne Timmons; his daughter, Lori Timmons Deane (Neal); and favorite grandson, Zachary William Deane, all of Culpeper.

Born in Culpeper, Virginia, Tommy attended Culpeper County Public Schools and started working for A&P grocery store at the age of 16. He continued to be employed there for 43 years working his way up the ladder, and without ever using a sick day. After his first retirement, he was employed by the Town of Culpeper for another 16 years.

Tommy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He very much enjoyed making his famous homemade sausage with his buddies, Jerry "Hammer" McIntire, Frank Downey, Wallace Newton, and Tim Payne.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, preceding a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 13056 Elk Ridge Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia. A reception will immediately follow.
