Willie David Blondino, Sr., 84, went peacefully to be with the Lord on March 18, 2012, at his home. A native of Madison Heights, VA, he was the son of the late Ross and Emma Blondino. He retired after 34 years of service at Old Dominion University. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Frances Blondino; a daughter, Janice Blondino Nuckols; a son, Willie D. "Bill" Blondino, Jr.; four grandchildren, Billy Dawson, Beth King, Lisa Marie and Brian Blondino; and six great-grandchildren, Amber, Mikoel, Lucas, Ashlyn, Ryder and Zoey. He was predeceased by four brothers; one sister; and one half-sister. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Azalea Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Barnes officiating. The burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
