Willie Mizell passed away at 6:15 AM, Wednesday March 21, 2012 at his residence in Holden. He was 92 and was a native of Holden. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Livingston on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 11:00 AM until religious services at 3:00 PM conducted by Rev. Tim Norris, Rev. Carlin Sanders, Rev. Berkley Boyd and Rev. Murray Bankston. Burial will be in the Willie and Ruth Mizell Family Cemetery in Holden.
Survived by 1 daughter and son-in-law, Mary Mizell Morgan and Perry Morgan; 5 sons and daughters-in-law, John Lee and Anna Mizell, Chester Hall and Joyce Mizell, Curtis Ray and Cindy Mizell, Jimmy and Janie Mizell and Raymond and Jeanine Mizell; 1 sister, Ollie Brady; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; niece, Sandy Williams.
Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Williams Mizell; son, Roger Mizell; grandson, Christopher Wiggins; parents, Whit Hall Mizell and Melissa Courtney Mizell; brothers and sisters. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Livingston
