Winfred G. Boriack, age 85, died June 25, 2015, in Houston, Texas, after a four-year struggle with sarcoma.

He is survived by his son, Philip Boriack, daughter, Jane Boriack, son-in-law, Ronald Nelson, and grandchildren, Erik and Karl Nelson, all of Santa Fe, NM. Also surviving him is his brother, Norman Boriack, of Clovis, CA, sister, Irene Meyer, of Pasadena, Texas, and the mother of his children, Elsie Fournet Boriack. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters, including his beloved sister, Eunice Mobley of Baton Rouge, LA.

Mr. Boriack was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of L.S.U. Law School in Baton Rouge, LA, where he belonged to the Law Review and many honorary fraternities. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a member of the Judge Advocate General's Corps and attained the rank of Major after serving two years. He joined the Legal Department of Shell Oil Company in New Orleans, LA, in 1956. Mr. Boriack retired in 1991 as Senior Attorney in the Head Office of Royal Dutch Shell in Houston, Texas.

He leaves behind many friends in The Church in Houston, who helped him immensely during his illness. We wish to thank, with much appreciation, his caregiver of four years, Lynn Morris, and others who cared for him during his final months of life.

The Church in Houston will hold a memorial service on Monday, June 29, at 7:00 PM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 2712 Southwest Freeway, in Houston.

On Tuesday, June 30, there will be a visitation and reception at the Levy Funeral Directors in Bellaire, from 5:00 - 9:00 PM.
