Zenola Ivadene Spicer, age 85, of New Caney, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday January 24, 2018. Zenola was born December 27, in Prescott, Arkansas. She married the love of her life James Howard Spicer.

Zenola worked for Humble Independent School District as head custodian for many years. She was an active member of Caney Creek Apostolic Tabernacle and had a passion for God, her church and family. She will be missed by all.

Zenola is survived by; children and their spouses Gary Spicer, Shirley Lenox and husband Jim, Linda King and husband Dana, Janice Collier and husband Odie, grandchildren and their spouses, Wende Wallingsford and husband Chad, Melissa Hicks and husband Jerry, Cassie Tomchik and husband Gary, Anjanette Spicer and husband Keith, Christi Spicer and husband Chad, Daniel Utley, Lindsey King, great-grandchildren, Logan Wallingsford, C.J. Wallingsford, Chryste Wallingsford, Jerrod Hicks, Jayden Hicks, Sierra Sparks, Cameron Mixon, Emily Utley, Sara Utley , Adrianna Longoria, Alyssia Longoria, great-great grandchildren, Timothy Nyquist, Cayden Nyquist, Avery Wallingsford and siblings Eugene Cook, Jerry Don Cook, Paul Cook, Rose Smithson, Sherry Laymon and numerous nieces and nephews.

Zenola was preceded in death by her husband James Howard Spicer; daughter Nancy Carol McDonald and son Jimmy Howard Spicer, parents, Estella Pearl Cook and Chassis Clayton Cook, siblings, Robbie Cook, Stanley Cook and Beatrice Harrison.

A visitation for Zenola will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Brookside Funeral Home, the committal service will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
