Brother Emanuel �Fresh� Frierson was born September 25, 1953 in Darlington County, South Carolina, a son of the late Elijah Sr. and Beulah McCoy Frierson. He departed this earthly life on Friday, September 30, 2011. Brother Frierson was educated in the Darlington County public schools and graduated from Hartsville High School in 1971. Brother Frierson was a hard-working man. He persued employment at Kendall Textile. He later opened his own business, �Frierson Auto Sales,� in Lydia, South Carolina. He was a wise businessman with a determined mind. Brother Frierson loved the Lord. It was his love that led him to become a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where he later was baptized. He served faithfully on the Trustee Board as Chairman and Vice Chairman. He enjoyed attending Sunday School and believed in being a doer of God�s Word. Brother Frierson loved his family, especially his sisters. He would demonstrate that love through traveling and attending family celebrations throughout the year. He also had a very positive influence on young people. He coached several area baseball teams. He also was an all-around player for the Lydia Red Sox Baseball Team, where he received numerous recognitions. Everyone who knew and loved him will greatly miss him. Surviving to cherish the loving memory and maintain the legacy of Brother Emanuel �Fresh� Frierson are his wife Carolyn; his two sons, Warren Frierson and Darrell Frierson both of Lydia, SC; six sisters, Cathirlene (Herbert) Jacobs of Bronx, NY, Mary Frances Jones of Hartsville, SC, Betty Branch of Houston, TX, Marjorie (Richard) Reddick of Lydia, SC, Bonnie (Sammie) Mixon of Lamar, SC, and Patricia (Lawrence) White of Wake Forest, NC; a brother, Jerome Frierson of Three Rivers, TX; an aunt, Mildred Frierson of Patterson, NJ; an uncle, Elder James (Christine) McCoy of Hartsville, SC; a dear cousin, Jessie Mae McCoy of Patterson, NJ, ten grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and very dear friends.
