Thomas (Tom) James Sobczyk, Sr., 70, of Big Bend (previously of Wind Lake), passed away, October 6th, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tom was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 5th, 1951, to the parents of Alice and Edmund Sobczyk. He was married to the former Ms. Linda Czerniejewski on Oct. 13th, 1982.

Tom is a veteran of the Vietnam War; he proudly served his country from 1969-1971 as a United States Marine. He was a truck driver in Vietnam which led to his 35+ year career in the trucking industry. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face.

Tom is survived by his wife Linda and his five children Thomas Sobczyk Jr. (Jessica); Tim Sobczyk (Jodie); Mike Kosikowski (Patrice); Laurie Currier (Pete); and Todd Sobczyk (Kristine); and his grandchildren Kaylynn, Alissa, Vicente, Jordon, Ryan, Gabriel, Case, Owen, Emma, Leah, and Cora. His sister Leandra Ganter; many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Alice and Edmund, and his brother Robert.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 18th at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 305 S. 1st St. in Waterford, WI. Visitation from 10:30 am -12:00 pm; Mass at 12:00 pm with a luncheon to follow at the Cotton Exchange. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Stars and Stripes of Wisconsin Honor Flight Organization.
